Yarramine was engaged by SW O’Brien Holdings to undertake an Environmental Noise Impact Assessment, prepare in support of an Impact assessable Development Application to Toowoomba Regional Council for a proposed transport terminal comprising of a Service Centre, Transport Depot, Mechanical and Tyre Workshops, Truckwash and pubic Weighbridge and Caretakers Residence.

Specifically, the assessment was undertaken in response to an Information Request Notice issued by Council, which among other items sought further information regarding noise impacts on nearby sensitive receptors from the proposed development.

In undertaking the assessment, ambient noise monitoring was conducted at the subject site and through modelling, predictions of onsite activity, noise emissions and their impact on a neighbouring sensitive receptor was examined.  Based upon the predicted noise impact levels, recommendations regarding noise mitigation measures and management principles for integration into the design and operation of the development were provided.

Yarramine also prepared a Site Based Environmental Management Plan for the proposed development as well as a Waste Management Plan.
